Visit the Blueberry Festival 2017 with a museum train and Technical Museum of Slovenia with an oldtimer bus

This year it is possible to visit Blueberry Festival from Ljubljana with the museum train that will depart from Ljubljana Central Railway Station on July 29 at 9.00 and will return to Ljubljana from Borovnica Railway station at 16.30. Tickets can be bought at all main railway stations in Slovenia at the price of 18 € (adults) and 9 € (kids aged 6 – 12, younger children are traveling free of charge) and include: the transfer to Borovnica and back, the welcome blueberry smoothie, the guided tour to railway Guardhouse 666, the transfer to Technical Museum of Slovenia at Castle Bistra by old-timer bus and 20% discount for the museum entrance ticket.

On Blueberry Festival on can next of tasting delicious blueberries of different sorts and products based on blueberries also get familiar with gastronomy and nutritionist’s use of blueberries as well as with the history of the place and the railway viaduct. On traditional flair, one can buy products of organic farming, traditional and art crafts. Kids can visit creative workshops and small amusement park. There will be guided tours to Railway Watch House 666 and to gorge Pekel – a small, yet magnificent gorge with 5 waterfalls – and a guided mountain-bike tour around the Borovnica valley. “Pekel” in Slovene language means “hell”, however do not be afraid – it is just a perfect place to chill out in hot summer days!
In the evening, the sounds of folk, pop and rock music will invite people to dance until early morning hours of the next day.
